On the List of Issues Prior to Reporting for the eighth periodic examination of Sweden under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights

This submission is not an exhaustive account of the Institute’s observations but highlights several of the Institute’s key concerns in relation to implementation of the Covenant in Sweden. Civil society plays a vital role in the reporting process to UN treaty bodies. In preparing this submission, the Institute has not only received input from the Institute’s Advisory Board (which includes 20 representatives from civil society and independent experts), but also from umbrella organisations in the Swedish disability rights movement.
